Big Bass Studio
Big Bass Studio surprised me. On paper it's a fishing game, but the twist is that you're building a little photo studio where you show off your catches. You head out to different lakes and rivers, work the cast timing, reel in something, and then you get to stage it, pick the lighting and snap a shot for your gallery.
The casting itself is a simple tap-and-hold meter, and hooking a fish turns into a gentle tug-of-war where you ease off when the line tension climbs. It's forgiving enough that I never got frustrated, but the bigger species make you pay attention. Progress unlocks new rods, new spots and decor for the studio room. I spent a whole evening just rearranging the shelves and picking backdrops, which says something.
What I appreciated most is how quietly it plays. No timers nagging you, no need to be online. You can open it for two minutes on a break or sink an hour into filling out the catch log. The art is clean and the water animation is genuinely nice to look at.
