Arcade racers built for a five-minute commute

Not every game session is an hour long. Sometimes you've got one bus stop's worth of time, and that's where a good arcade racer shines. Neon Drift Rally is my current favorite for exactly this.

The magic is short races with instant restarts. You tilt, you drift, you chase a boost meter, and if you crash you're back on the line in a second. No menus to fight through, no load screens killing your two free minutes.

I also love that the ghost time trials give you something to chase without needing other players or a connection. You're just trying to beat yourself, which is oddly motivating.

For commute gaming, look for tight controls, quick restarts and offline play. Everything else is a bonus.
